Parents are an integral part of their children's education. The philosophy of the BVSD Title I program embodies the belief that ALL parents, regardless of race, socio-economic status, or language, can make a real difference in the academic success of their children.
One of requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act states that parents of students receiving Title I services need to have a role in two areas: (a)the development and (b) subsequent implementation of the school district's policy. The BVSD Title I program, in collaboration with parent groups, has crafted a policy in order to promote the involvement of parents.
