She served as Superintendent of Jeffco Public Schools from 2002 until 2014.

In June 2017, Dr. Stevenson was appointed by the BVSD Board of Education to serve as the Interim Superintendent for the 2017-2018 school year. She was proud to return to Boulder Valley, where it all began.

Public education is at Dr. Stevenson's core. She believes there is no more important work in our country than educating our children for the future.
