Youth Empowering Peers (YEP)
Youth Empowering Peers

Youth Empowering Peers (YEP) builds understanding between and across differences and teaches youth to be allies to each other. YEP works to raise awareness about equity and diversity issues in Boulder County. YEP peer educators are a diverse group of students from different races/ethnicities, sexual orientation, religion, gender, disability, language and socio-economic status who talk about their experiences to build understanding in their peers. YEP is sponsored by The Healthy Youth Alliance.

If selected to participate in YEP, you will attend a two-night training retreat in the fall. We have regularly scheduled meetings twice a month in the fall for additional training, discussion and team building. Dinner is provided at all meetings. In the spring you will have one monthly meeting and will be doing classroom presentations for other youth.
