Welcome to 6th Grade Science!
6th Grade Physical Science includes the study of chemistry and physics.

Students must bring Unit 1 Study Guide with two pieces of evidence that they prepared for the assessment. Binders will be checked. Study Session 9/12 8:00 am in Room 209

Students will outline at least three steps in their planner about how they will prepare for the Unit 1 Assessment. Planners will be checked 9/10.
Complete Graphing Activities/Review for Quiz 9/16Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
Students will complete white "Graphing" practice sheet and "Graphing Challenge" if assigned. Short check out quiz on line graphing will occur during class on 9/16.

Students will complete a RECALL Experiment Conclusion if not completed during class.

Students have three options to retake the test: 1) Retake test before school or at lunch. 2) Retake test orally with voice recorder before school or at lunch. 3) Take test home and rewrite answers to questions scored 2 or below. Students will write new complete answer in left column and write explanation of errors in right column.

Students will complete their States of Matter Textbook project over Thanksgiving Break. Here is the order for the book: 1) Cover 2) Table of Contents 3) States of Matter pages 4) Gas Pressure pages 5) Changes of State 6) Water Facts page 7) Quiz Page ( generate at least three quiz questions and create a page) 8) Extension pages (optional - see rubric) 9) Glossary (I gave out hard copies of this in class - or can be typed if completing the project digitally; definitions are on students' vocabulary sheets) Book should be bound using staples, brads, stitching, etc.

Students have a green study guide to help with preparation. There is a study session at 8:00 am 12/2. Students will bring study guide with two pieces of evidence and organized binder to class on 12/2.
