Nevin Platt Middle School houses two distinct middle school programs, a traditional neighborhood middle school and CHOICE, an experiential program that offers a multi-age, three-year program. Both programs adhere to the state and district curricular standards; however, the instructional strategies vary.
Platt offers the following advantages to accommodate Academic Excellent, Social Growth and Developmentally appropriate activities. Teachers collaborate in interdisciplinary teams with the advantage of better supporting high expectations for all learners and challenging curricular offerings.

CHOICE Focus Program
This highly-sought, innovative program is an experiential-based model that includes the following components:

Student-led conferences with portfolio presentations culminate the use of assignment rubrics, self-assessment and individual goal setting
