Monarch K-8’s Counseling Department provides opportunities for students and parents to discuss and work through concerns that may be academically, socially or emotionally oriented. We work with individuals and small groups as well as consult with teachers and parents regarding developmental and individual concerns. Our goal is to support the staff and students in making each student’s time at Monarch K-8, a successful and growth oriented experience. Programs that our counseling office sponsor include:

Welcome Everybody (WEB): a eighth grade to sixth grade student transition and mentor program.

Talented and Gifted (TAG): identifying students who may need experiences outside of their grade level curriculum to enhance their learning.

Groups: facilitating groups for students around topics such as friends, family change, loss, organization and academic improvement.

High Honor Roll and Most Improved: recognizing students for their accomplishments in their academics.
