Mesa Elementary has teamed up with Garden to Table to create an onsite organic vegetable garden. This unique and important program includes an integrated education component by incorporating wellness, healthy food choices, and a lifetime of sustainability into the curriculum.

With our eye on a first harvest before the school year ends, Mesa hopes to enjoy the fruits of our labors throughout the day on Friday, May 23rd, as well as during our annual pre-Bolder Boulder Pasta Pig Out event that evening.

It's coming up green at Mesa! Stop by to see the garden in action and stayed tuned for some exciting activities and events being planned.

On Sunday, April 6, 2008, parent and children volunteers came out in record numbers to dig the garden plots. The community effort was then followed with planting by the outgoing 5th grade class as their legacy to Mesa.
