Join in some summer fun! When you enter any of these races below, half the registration fee goes back to Lafayette Elementary PTA. Be sure to click on Lafayette PTA as the non-profit of your choice during the registration process.
- June 5th, 2010 & September 11, 2010 you can race a 5k, a duathlon or a triathlon at the Boulder Reservoir.
October 10th, 2010 you can race in a triathlon at the Arapahoe YMCA.

Tired of fighting the crowds while back-to-school supply shopping? EduKit school supply kits are just what you need! The kits contain all name brand products and are custom made to include exactly what our teachers are requesting. Click on the EduKit banner above to go right to the order page. May 31st is the deadline for the discount pricing. From June 1st through July 31st late orders will be accepted for an additional fee.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROCEDURES FOR SUMMER ENROLLMENTS
PARENT PORTION
1. Parents/Guardians will go to your school’s website or the BVSD website to find information on the enrollment process for new BVSD students.
2. Parents/Guardians will complete the Student Enrollment Online (SEO) form.
3. Parents/Guardians will bring or fax all necessary documentation (outlined on the SEO receipt page) directly to the Student Enrollment Center (SEC.)
STUDENT ENROLLMENT CENTER PORTION
4. The SEC will verify all information received from the Parents/Guardians.
5. The SEC will complete enrollments.
6. The SEC will compile and maintain your school’s documentation electronically. Directions for document retrieval will be provided upon your return from summer vacation.
SCHOOL PORTION
7. The school will not need to fax any additional documentation back to the SEC unless specifically requested.
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER IN 
The office will be closed for the summer on June 4, 2010. The office will re-open on August 4, 2010, from 8am-3:45pm.
Class lists will be posted on August 13th at 3:00pm. Please do not call the office for this information earlier as lists are finalized with August registrations.
August assessments for Kindergarten students are scheduled for Tuesday 8/17 and Wednesday 8/18 by appointment only. Please call Patty Gruber for more information. If you will not be able to make your scheduled assessment time, please call Patty to let her know so the time slot may be rescheduled.
"Meet the Teacher Night" is scheduled for August 16th at 3:30-5:30pm. Stop by to meet your teacher & drop off supplies.
Crayons to Calculators Backpacks are available to pick up at school from 9am - 3pm on August 13th & 16th. If you can't make these dates, the next pick up will be on "Meet the Teacher Night" on August 16th.
Edu-kits (PTA) will be distributed to classroom teachers to be picked up at "Meet the Teacher Night" on August 16th.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL is August 17th at 8:00am for 1st - 5th grade. First bell at 7:55am. School is out at 2:30pm. There is a staggered start for Kindergarten: A-H on August 19th & I-Z on August 20th.
Pre-School starts on August 25, 2010.
"Back to School Night" is scheduled for the evening of September 8th.
