Due to CSAP testing this month, homework will be modified as follows:

1. Students need to still read 30 minutes daily, but they will

not be required to keep a reading log with summaries.

2. There will be no weekly current event reports, writer's

notebook assignments, or cursive practice at home.

3. Math, grammar, and spelling will continue as usual.

Students will be learing the states and capitals of the United States along with important geographical features.

For March, our science unit will be - Cells: Structure and Processes. Students will be making models and using microscopes.

Students will begin reading Tom Sawyer, by Mark Twain, on March 1st.

The Unit 9 Test on Coordinates, Area, Volume, and Capacity, will be Tuesday, March 9th.

Students are working on creating a Native American folktale, myth, or legend.

The Native American Unit test is March 3rd. Our focus will be the Westward Expansion of the United States, in the 1800's, for the month of March.
