Enrollment

Children entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 30 of the school year. Kindergarten is a half-day program, mornings (8:20 am to 11:10 am) or afternoons (12:00 pm to 2:50 pm), five days a week.

Foothill also offers a fee-based program called K-CARE for the other half of the day. Our Kindergarten and K-CARE teachers coordinate their curriculum creating a truly full-day kindergarten experience. Students are enrolled in K-CARE on a first-come/first serve basis.

The Kindergarten Open House for parents of children who will start kindergarten in August, 2010, is scheduled for Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 5:30-7:00 p.m in the school library. You will have the opportunity to meet our teachers, ask questions, and receive information about registration.  We will also have information available about K-Care, a fee based enrichment program complimenting half day kindergarten, and the YMCA before and afterschool care.  As this is an opportunity for adults to learn about our school, this is an adult only event.  Please make other child care arrangements.
