Below are all forms and information needed to enroll and register your new or returning student at Flatirons Elementary.  If Flatirons is not your 'home' school (see Attendance Map) you must go through the Open Enrollment process before registering at Flatirons (note: The application deadline for Open Enrollment for the 2009-10 school year has already passed).

2009-10 Online Enrollment and Registration Packet Note to Parents If you have a student new to the Boulder Valley School District, you may enroll him or her  by completing the Student Enrollment Online (http://enroll.bvsd.org/ ) or use the link listed below. Please contact the Student Enrollment Center if you have questions: 720-561-5247 or enrollment.helpdesk@bvsd.org.  If your student will be attending Flatirons Elementary please complete the student enrollment and print the PDF page with the barcode and the emergency card and sign and date them and bring them to the school office with all the required documentation and other forms listed below.
Required forms and Enrollment for New Students	The following forms and actions are due to the school office when you decide your child will attend Flatirons: Complete the District online enrollment then print and include a copy of the receipt/confirmation page and a copy of the emergency card from the end of enrollment process with the forms and documentation below Copy of student’s birth certificate or passport Proof of residency (copy of lease, utility bill, or house contract) Current copy of student’s immunizations (with signature from Health Care Provider)  School Health Questionnaire  Complete appropriate sections below, Kindergarteners / New 1st-5th and All Students

August Registration: Important Information for All Students Please read before school starts on August 20th	Parent Handbook (note: when asked to "login" to the BVSD site, click Cancel)  Principal and Health Services Letter  District Student Rights and Responsibility Handbook  District School Lunch Information Transportation--To determine your bus stop and pick-up time, if applicable, call the Transportation Department at 303-447-5120. Kindergarteners	Children entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 30th of the school year.  Kindergarten is a half-day program, mornings (8:15 a.m. to 11:05 a.m.) or afternoons (11:55 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.), five days a week. Flatirons Elementary offers a fee-based program called K-Care for the other half of the day.  Students are registered in K-Care ONLY upon receipt of all forms above. We offer M-F–5 days, M/W/F–3 days, and T/TH–2 days for K-Care options. Kindergarten Orientation for parents of children, who will start kindergarten in August, 2009 is scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the kindergarten room.  You will have the opportunity to meet teachers, ask questions, and receive information on registration.  Information about K-Care, a fee based enrichment program complimenting half-day kindergarten, and the YMCA before and afterschool care information will also be available.  As this is an opportunity for adults to learn about our school, this is an adult only event.  Please make other child care arrangements.  Reservations are not required.
