Are you missing your weekly copy of Knight News? Knight News is published by Jenny McCarthy, Secretary to Don Stensrud, Principal of Fairview High School. Here's a temporary place to get your weekly copy until the e-mail address list has been fixed!

FPO (Fairview Parent Organization) is your parent organization and all parents are invited to participate. We are the organization that:

• Assembles, publishes and distributes the FairViews, the monthly parent newspaper that is chock full of information about school events, important testing dates and post-graduate resources. (See current issue of Fairviews.)
• Funds the teachers' Wish Lists of materials and programs that enrich the classroom experience for our students.
• Organizes activities to recognize and thank our wonderful teachers such as the August luncheon and January breakfast.
• Assists with After Prom, the Senior Barbeque and provides volunteer support for numerous other activities.
• Provides timely helpful information at our meetings with speakers of community interest.
• Publishes the Student Directory.

Meetings are held the fourth Monday nearly every month during the school year beginning with September in the school library. They begin at 7 pm and last for 1.5 to 2 hours, depending upon the agenda. Please consider joining us and making some new friends.

Looking for a way to become involved in school? Please consider joining FPO and volunteering for one of many positions. Volunteering with FPO is a great way to learn what's going on at Fairview and stay connected with your high school children. We donate over $20,000 to teachers for classroom equipment and materials and you can make the decisions on how those funds are allocated. We also organize hospitality events for our teachers, publish the FairViews monthly newspaper and student directory, fundraise and provide volunteers for a variety of activities and governance committees.
