Welcome to Douglass Elementary School

Douglass has a longstanding reputation as a neighborhood school, offering a challenging academic program, high–quality instruction in the arts, and a welcoming and embracing school climate. Douglass has received many awards, including the Colorado Department of Education’s “school of excellence” for high academic achievement and the “creative ticket school of excellence” award for exemplary arts programs. Douglass also has been recognized by the School Mediation Project for its strong character education program. Parent volunteerism is high, and the staff is highly committed to meeting the needs of all children.

Douglass PTO invites

you to join

friends and teachers for a

festive family evening at our

Annual All School Pizza Party!

When:  Thursday, September 2, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Why:  To enjoy a casual evening of fun and food at your elementary school and meet other parents, students, teachers and administrators.

Where:  The playground behind the school.

What: For only $5.00, your PTO will provide a pizza dinner including a large piece of pizza, drink, cookie, and assorted fruits and veggies.  Extra slices of pizza will be available for $2.00 each.

Also Jamba Juice will provide smoothies for $3.00 each!

Please remember that, for safety reasons, a parent must attend this event with their students. Your whole family is welcome. Please bring lawn chairs and/or blankets so that you can sit and relax on the lawn.

Also please note that this year we are going back to basics – the evening will include pizza dinner, but no specialty items such as face painters, prizes, etc.  We are saving these fun things for the EOY (End of Year) Party.
