Crest View's Celebrations

	Crest View was named a John Irwin School of Excellence in 2004.
	In December 2003, we received an “Excellent” rating from the Colorado Department of Education.
	Woodcock Munoz Language Survey WMLS results for students not tested by CSAP showed at or significantly above yearly growth in one year’s time.
	Crest View met AYP in 2003 and 2004 under the Leave No Child Behind Act.
	Crest View weighted index score Gain results demonstrated a year’s growth (within error of measurement) for all students in Reading, Writing and continued outstanding scores in Math.
	No significant differences occurred in gain scores for all students when disaggregated for Ethnicity.
	When disaggregated by gender, a slight difference occurred in gain scores for Reading for the first time since 2001, while no difference was noted again in writing between genders.
	Meal assistant eligible students scored higher gain scores in both reading and writing than not eligible students.
	English Language learners (targeted group) had higher gain scores than Native English language speakers.
	The median Growth in Literacy was at our one year’s growth over one year’s time in grades K-4.
	Weighted index scores for CSAP testing on 2003-04 exceeded our goal targets and district 2007 SY targets when “Not Tested “ students were removed and Cohort Retention group was analyzed (see Appendix, CSAP Same School Not Tested Filter).
	Average Daily Attendance remains high.
	Incident rate for discipline actions that result in school suspension remains very low.
	In other words, our program continues to demonstrate expected achievement progress for students who are in attendance for 3 or more years at Crest View.
	TAG students scored significantly higher (22 scale points in Reading, 21 points in Writing) than their counterparts in a CSAP Three Year Matched Cohort Analysis (see Appendix).
	Kindergarten Intervention Program (KIP) reduced the percentage of at risk students for Learning Disabilities identified through district instruments from 25% (22 students) of 2003-2004 class at the beginning of the year to 3% at the end of the year (data supplied by BVSD Special Education Department).
