Dear Coal Creek Families,                                                                   

The Coal Creek Parent Teacher Association (PTA) welcomes you to the 2008-2009 school year.  If you don’t know us yet, the Coal Creek PTA is a team of parents and teachers who are dedicated to Student Development and Achievement at Coal Creek. The PTA focuses on ensuring that all our activities and expenditures map to the following three goals:

1)      Provide meaningful parent involvement focusing on student achievement, equity and school climate. 

2)      Provide communication to increase community awareness of support and outreach for Coal Creek families.  

3)      Support the whole child by providing opportunities outside of the school day for Coal Creek students and their families. 

EVERYONE is invited and welcome to attend our monthly general PTA meetings. . They are held the second Tuesday of every month starting in September from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm.   We very much hope that you will mark your calendar and attend! Upcoming PTA meeting dates will be posted on the Coal Creek website and on the sign in front of the school. 

We also encourage you to review the Coal Creek volunteer form (as we are still in need of volunteers to head up some committees).  You have many and varied opportunities to be involved and to help at your children’s school. You can give as little as a few minutes or offer more of your time as a volunteer.
