Dear Broomfield High Parents and Students:
For the past two summers, we have been very involved with our renovation projects and new building construction. This summer, we have continued projects, but on a much smaller scale. As you drive by our campus, you will see that we have begun construction on a new parking lot at the corner of Miramonte and Daphne. In addition, we are reclaiming the fields that housed our “portable city” with topsoil, new irrigation, and new grass. Completion dates are still to be determined, but I anticipate our parking lot to be done in the fall and the field renovation will be a year long process. As we get closer to the parking lot completion, information will be shared with parents and students as to access options for that lot.
As we begin the 2010-2011 school year, I welcome back the Classes of 2011, 2012, and 2013. I extend a special welcome to the Class of 2014 – you are officially Eagles!
I encourage you to take time to read this entire packet of information. This year, we are beginning the process of becoming as paperless as possible. Not only does this help our budget, it also helps our environment. The general information is available on our website www.bvsd.org/schools/broomfieldhigh separately from all the forms needed to be completed and brought to registration in early August. I encourage you to save this information to refer to as needed. Mark your calendars for the dates of registration. Open and print forms linked above to complete and bring to registration. Make sure all signature lines are signed on forms. If signatures are missing, the process will be delayed.
We also have a process for parents to pay for school fees/optional fees online through PayForIt. The directions are included via a link on our website. The process seems straightforward and easy to access. You will need your student’s ID number. (The number can be found on a school ID card, in IC, or on the report card we sent in June.) If you can’t access any of those items, email me at ginger.ramsey@bvsd.org and I will send you the ID number. This optional service is available if you would like to make a payment before registration.
As an Eagle, we are all expected to always do our best and be involved. Our school focus is as follows:

When we all (students, staff, and parents) share this focus, we will continue to make our school and community the best. I encourage our students to stay involved and work with staff to reach academic goals. I ask the adults (staff and parents) to commit to staying involved in our students’ lives. Many times, students discourage parental involvement in high school except when problems arise. I ask that we work together on a regular basis and not wait until a concern arises. High school is an exciting time; please share this time with your student.
