The School Improvement Team is a state-mandated accountability and advisory committee formed and operated at the school level. The purpose of Pioneer SIT is to serve as an interface between parents/guardians, community, students, school staff and school District (BVSD) and Board of Education (BOE) regarding student issues and educational improvement. SIT works with the Principal to develop the school improvement plan, offers input on the school budget, provides advisory feedback to the principal and staff regarding activities that are integral to the school’s goals, vision and/or mission and assists the principal as a coordinating council as necessary.
SIT meets in the Pioneer library the 4th Thursday of each month from 4PM until 5:30PM. Meetings alternate between English and Spanish with translation. All are welcome!
