The Instrumental Department at Monarch includes several groups, each with their own style and performances. The priority for the instrumental program at Monarch is Concert Band, teaching technique and theory and learning musicianship. The major groups are:

Marching Band
Marching Band is a BLAST for the kids and the favorite time of year for many band students. Students have lots of time together, it's TONS of work and like to say, "it's a family." There are currently over 100 members in the Coyote Marching Band and they are considered to be one of the finest marching bands in the state.
