Grocery Certificates Status

Keep an eye on how our certificate sales are stacking up...

Grocery Certificate Sales

King Soopers and Safeway Grocery Certificates & Cards
The Lafayette Elementary PTA Grocery Certificate Program is a great, no-cost way to help our school earn money! You may purchase Safeway vouchers from a PTA representative and then use them at your local Safeway just like cash. We can set up a monthly withdrawal on your credit card or you can purchase certificates with cash or checks. Our school earns 5% on each dollar sold!   King Soopers has a new re-loadable grocery card which allows you to reload as needed at the store--offering great flexibility and convenience.

Did you know that if 150 families at our school committed to spending $250 with grocery certificates each month, our school would earn $22,500 in one year? Get started now! To receive either a pre-loaded Safeway card or a King Soopers re-loadable card please contact Cindy Outlaw--303-410-0852.

Albertson's Fundraiser
At Albertson's, you scan a special Community Partners Card with our school account when you make your purchase and Albertson's will periodically make a contribution to our school. This card is no cost to you and can be obtained on the desk near the front office at Lafayette Elementary. Or you can call Tracy Atkinson, (303) 665-0908, for more information on how to get your card. Cards with our school account number are good at almost any Albertsons in the country. This is a great way for friends and relatives who live out of state to support our school.

Remember that the grocery certificates and Community Partners Cards are available all year, so keep using them and benefit our school all year round!

Original Artwork
Original Artwork, a program we tried last Spring, had great success and we are offering it again! Your child will create his or her artwork in art class. On October 27, 2007 packets will come home in Friday folders, allowing you to purchase various items with your child's artwork on it. These make wonderful holiday gifts for everyone!

Holiday Marketplace
The 4th Annual Holiday Marketplace is scheduled to be held this December 1st and 2nd.  We will be featuring local artists and crafters who will have their products available for sale. We will also have direct sellers: Avon, Mary Kay and Arbonne. Come and bring your friends and get a jump on your Christmas shopping. Admission is free and 10% of sales go directly to Lafayette Elementary. For more information contact Renee Larson at (303) 604-6082.

We are also looking for volunteers to help set up the Holiday Marketplace and clean up when it is over. Please contact Renee Larson for more information at (303) 604-6082.

Family Night Out
Family Nights Out are evenings where families can enjoy time together at a community outing and the school receives a portion of the proceeds. Watch for details about the various locations throughout the school year. If you have any suggestions about a possible Family Night Out, please contact Sue Grant at (303) 665-4793 or e-mail her at sue.grant@lafayetteelementary.com.

Check Writing Campaign
Check Writing Campaign occurs in the spring. You will have the opportunity to write a tax deductible check to PTA to support teachers and faculty at LES.

Target's Take Charge of Education
We've discovered a terrific way to raise funds for our school. It's super easy, and all you have to do is use your Target® Visa® or Target® Card.  The school will receive a percentage of the amount of each purchase in the form of a cash donation from Target through the Take Charge of Education® program. It's easy. Just visittarget.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school. So if you're going to Target anyway, please consider using your Target Visa or Target Card. A big thanks to those who are already doing their part to make a great school even better.

Check out how much has already been donated to Lafayette Elementary by visiting Target's web site!

Box Tops and Labels Program
Lafayette Elementary School has accounts with General Mill's Box Tops for Education, Campbell's Labels for Education, and Tyson A+ Project.  This program raised $692 for our school last year!  Each classroom will have a collection bag for the box tops and labels (no need to separate them) which will be collected the first school day of each month.  The class that collects the most Tops & Labels each month will receive a treat.  An information packet will be sent home with each student at the beginning of the school year which lists the products that have labels and what portion of the labels to save.  This information can also be found at each program's website outlined below.

General Mill's Box Tops for Education has a website where you can shop online.  Click on www.boxtops4education.com to shop the Box Tops Marketplace.  Lafayette Elementary automatically earns 8% from these qualifying purchases.  While visiting the site make sure to sign up for their free "Box Tops Booster Club" and see our school's earnings!

Click on www.labelsforeducation.com to view the Campbell's Labels for Education program.

Recycle for the Rain Forest
Bring your empty inkjet/laser cartridges and old cell phones to school!  Recycle for the Rainforest will pay us $1 to $15 per cartridge we collect!  This will save 500 SQ. FT of Rainforest for every cartridge/cell phone we recycle in addition to what they pay us.  Save your cartridges over the summer and bring them to school in the fall!  Bring them in from home, the office, or collect them from friends or relatives. This is a great win-win-win for everyone. Just think, we get paid to save the rainforest by recycling!  Recycle For The Rainforest raises money for schools and saves the rainforest one cartridge/cell phone at a time!
