Kohl kindergarten teachers believe that kindergarten is a special year for both children and their parents as they make a transition into elementary school years. In kindergarten, students develop a new sense of independence and accomplishment. We strive to develop their self-confidence as we assist them in becoming emergent readers and writers. Kindergarten includes instruction in speaking, listening, reading, music, art, math and science. While children are learning, they are actively involved in work, play, and social development. We use a variety of hands-on activities to enhance our program and introduce children to Kohl's balanced literacy program.
