This is the last official lecture by a professor at Carnegie Mellon University who is dying of pancreatic cancer. The purpose of the lecture, he says (according to an article I read in the NYTimes) was to leave for his children lessons to live by. But the lecture took on a life beyond anything he could imagine. It has been viewed on YouTube (as of 4/14/08) 1,579,748 times. This human being is transcending what his life has been (which is already awesome) as he faces the last few months that he has.
