 Tempest Overview

The Tempest

- Can revenge be justified?

- Is the world 'just a stage?'

- How is power an issue in this work?

- How is this work an example of verissimilitude?

Welcome to the new school year!

A guiding question for this year:

Why do we (humans, that is) tell stories?

A few follow up questions:

What social or community functions do stories serve?

What are the various forms of storytelling and why do we choose one over another?

How do stories work? What tools do we use to make storytelling effective?

Are there cultural differences that influence the way we tell or hear stories (and read and write)?

Why do we choose to tell some stories and not others?

Any other good questions that come to mind? Send them my way.
