Magistra Gibert's Website
I am Lynn Gibert and I love teaching Latin! This is my 21st year teaching Latin. I’m happy to see everyone back from last year and I look forward to meeting all the new Latin students. My career started in Connecticut at the Westover School, then moved to the Boston area where I taught at Phillips Academy, Andover and at the Dana Hall School in Wellesley, Massachusetts. This is my eighth year teaching at Fairview. Last year I was honored to be selected as a Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars. Over the course of my career I have been nominated to Who’s Who several times, I was a Fulbright scholar in Rome, and have received several Impact on Education grants. Last year I received a grant from the Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers to create costumes and props for Latin play performances. I look forward to an exciting and productive year.
I sponsor three clubs at Fairview.
Latin Club/Junior Classical League meets after school on Mondays
Italian Club meets during block lunch on the first Thursday of each month.
Figure Skating Club meets during block lunch on the last Thursday of each month.
Ice time—to be announced!
