Counselors' provide:

  • Personal and social counseling
  • Crisis counseling
  • Academic advisement and consultation
  • Post-graduate planning
  • Curriculum and school wide system planning and support

 

Students see counselors for:

  • Educational planning
  • Assisting in resolving academic difficulties
  • Dealing with school pressures
  • Acquiring information about the school and community
  • Career planning
  • Improving her or his self-concept in individual / group sessions
  • Gaining skills in communicating with others
  • Discussing peer / family concerns
  • Sharing successes with adults

Counselors are available to parents for:

  • Consultation about student / parent needs and concerns

How to see a counselor:

  • A student or parent can see a counselor on a drop-in basis
  • A student can sign up for a time on the counselor's appointment calendar
  • A parent can call or email a counselor for an appointment
