Marching Band
Fairview's marching program is supported by a host of professional marching band instructors , as well as parent volunteers. In 2006, the Fairview Marching Band placed fourth in the state marching band competition. Marching students are required to spend time outside of school preparing for marching competitions. During the marching season, students spend about 300 hours outside of regular school hours practicing for competitions. |
When marching season ends in mid to late October, the marching band becomes a ‘sit down’ band, which performs for school concerts and competitions. Smaller ensemble groups of brass, wind and percussion may also be formed to perform during the school year.

Jazz Program
The jazz program at Fairview offers students at all levels the opportunity to learn and grow with the jazz idiom. Rigorous instruction takes place in the classroom four times per week during a regularly scheduled class period. In addition, students can audition to play in student-led combos that meet each week for a double period on block day.
