Olivia Foulkrod
Olivia Foulkrod is in her seventh year as a bilingual teacher. The majority of her experience is in 1st grade and kindergarten, though she has also taught 2 and 3rd grade literacy and was a 4th grade classroom teacher in the Spanish component of a dual-immersion school. Olivia taught first grade in Quito Ecuador for two years, and is constantly striving to improve her Spanish. Olivia has recently obtained her master’s degree in bilingual special education with a double endorsement in special education and ESL. As one of the special educators this year at Columbine, Olivia is excited to put into practice everything she has learned.
Olivia is a Colorado native. She enjoys running, playing in the snow, hiking (really any outdoor sport), cooking, and spending time with her family. Last year Olivia took the year off to be a stay- at- home mom, to her baby daughter, Cecilia, who is just a year old! Olivia loves being a mom! Although Olivia loved staying home with her daughter, she is thrilled to be back at Columbine and enthusiastic about her new position in special education.
