YAWNSLAND (PERIOD 3, GROUP 4)

Bill of Rights
- What are your "top ten" laws for your country?
                 1) Freedom of speech, religion, and press to ensure civil liberties for all.

                 2) All residents must stay in school until they are 17 years old

                 3) Residents are provided with a place to live, but they must find their own job.

                 4) Healthcare is provided to all residents.

                 5) 100 immigrants are let into our country every month, but they have to complete all immigration paperwork and pass a full physical exam.

                 6) Our officials will be elected, meaning that our country is in a democracy.

                 7) Our country believes in manifest destiny.  We look for ways to expand our country.

                 8) If someone breaks the law, they can either be thrown in prison or deported depending on the law broken or how extremely it was broken.

                 9) People are allowed to join the army on their own free will.

                10)  At 16 people will be allowed to vote to elect officials.
Government and Laws
Structure
- Democracy is what our country is going to follow for government
- We will have 2 presidents in our country

 -While running those 2 people will run together, so the country can see  how they work together.
Political Parties
- Our country will not have political parties.

Military
- We will have a military; but people will be allowed to join on their free will.


Conflict
- If an attack happens in our country we will take action immediately.

- Depending on the attack we will immediately launch our Forces.

Expansion
- What is your policy on expanding (growing) your country?

           The country will expand if it needs to according how many people come into the country
- How do you expand your country in terms of territory?

            If we need more land we will expand too territories not already claimed, or we will buy land if needed.

          

-          How do you expand your country in terms of your economy?

                     

          

Immigration
- How do you deal with people entering and leaving your country?

          We will only allow 100 people into the country each month.  If they come in looking for a job, they will be provided with a job.

- Who will you allow to immigrate into you country?

             Anybody who wants to come to live in the country.

- What process will you have to allow people immigrate into your country?

             Tests will be performed, in order to see if they have diseases. If they do have diseases they will not be allowed to enter the country. So it doesn’t spread.

Education
- How do you educate your population?

            We will provide free education, students may not drop out until at least 17. Students have to pay for their own college; we will provide scholarships to those who deserve it.  

- How do you make sure people are learning?                       

After each year they will have to take exams, if they don’t pass they won’t go to the next grade level. We will also have monthly tests for what they learned.

Civil Rights
- What rights do citizens of your country have?

 Our Citizens will have the rights to Freedom of Speech, press, and Religion.

-          How do you make sure these rights are protected?
           
Issues
- What problems do you think your new country might face?

-                       Disease, Racism, and Violence.

Examples: Health Care, Disease, Racism, Violence, War, Government Corruption, Energy Needs - Gas, Oil, Electricity, Drugs, Alcohol, Gangs, Pollution, etc.
- How do you anticipate solving some of these problems?

            Finding Cures, and Vaccines and having a police force.

-          What can you do to prevent these problems?

                      We are going to use Vaccines for Diseases, Ban civilian gun use, and ownership, penalty for Racism.

Economic Policies
Taxes

- How will your country raise money for government programs?

            We will tax 10% of Annual Income, and 3% of stuff people buy.


Employment
- What types of jobs will people have in your country?

            We will have all trades of jobs in our country.

 How will you deal with people that lose their jobs?

            We will give them unemployment checks.

-          How will you deal with the unemployed?

They keep their Health Care.

We will pay them a certain amount of money each month until they get a job.

Poverty
- Do you plan to help people out if they are poor?  If so, how?

            We already are giving them a House, Health Care, but no job, they have to find it themselves.

Housing
what will you do with your homeless population?

Everyone will be provided with a house in our country, so there will be no homeless
Prices
- Will you attempt to control prices of items like gasoline and houses?  If so, why or why not? 

People will not have pay for their houses, but they will have to pay for other things like luxuries such as computers.


Nonconformity
- What will you do about people who do not conform (go along with) the rules of your country?

We will arrest them or deport them depending on what the crime is.

Will you accept this behavior?

No we will not
- How will your country handle nonviolent protests?

They will be allowed unless it prohibits transportation in the streets.
- How will your country handle violent protest and terrorism?
