MY PLANET GROUP PROJECT
I. Ten countries from Earth that are allowed on Door. Why those countries? Think about bringing the physical landscape, climate, food, people, culture, businesses, etc.
Australia: Are independent and know how to lead
Greenland: Know different climates and bring cold climates
Iceland: To bring hot climates
Turkey: They don't pollute and will bring new ideas for the economy
Chad: Have a good government
Ethiopia: Has a cool name and to help them have a better life.
France: Bring YUMMY food.
India: Bring farming and other foods.
Spain: Style and help with the type of buildings.
China: Bring products and services.
II. Map: What will Door look like?
Door is in a bubble, and has different shapes for different regions, has water around it to protect it. 30% rural area 30% urban area 10% is natural habitat..
III. Culture: What will the culture of Mearth be like?
Clothes: Spain fashion (but other countries can bring their on fashion and traditions.)
Traditions: Each country brings their traditions and share with each other.
Holidays: Have the normal holidays but each country will add something to them whether its a ceremony or food.
We will also have a founders day.
Money: we use oney, and only $3 and $15 which the $3=$30 and the$15=$100
Food: French, India, Spain, China, and Australia's food.
IV. Issues: How will you handle the issues that challenge Earth?
Poverty, Disease, Immigration/Migration
Poverty: We have a special program that will help the people if they have no job or are payed minimum wage. They started by each country who came donated a certain amount of money.
Disease: The bubble protects from the new disease. The scientists found a disease that was new and scientists are very close to a cure. If they get an infectious disease they have to stay away from contact and if not its fine.
Immigration/Migration: The people are only allowed in and out twice.
V. Economics: What will the economy look like? How will you handle challenges that we face on Earth? Outsourcing, Globalization
we will have outsourcing but each person will be paid the same amount. Each business will not be controlled by the government and their profits will be theirs. so we will also have taxes.
VI. Government: What will the government be like? Democracy? Communism?
our planet will have a democracy. we will not have a president but have ten leaders who present ideas about improving the planet and voting on it. we have a king and queen who ask the people what they want.
VII. Resources: What type of resources will be on your planet and how will they be used?
for the cars they will run on carbon dioxide. we will also use solar power that will be our main power source. the other recourses we use are wind and water. we will have one non renewable recourse which is the natural gas we found on the planet. we will use the wind and water for powering electronics.
VIII. Conflict: How will conflict be handled on your planet? Think of examples that we’ve learned about in class. Kashmir, A Long Way Gone, Child Warfare in Africa, War
We will have an army but only use it for a last resort! there is one part of DOOR that they can fight if they want, but will only be able to fight for a month. this way innocent people wont be KILLED and not to much land will be destroyed.
IX. Population: How will you manage the population? Think about overpopulation, China’s One Child Policy, Japan and population density, etc.
each family will only be able to have three children. if they want a bigger family they have to say why they want a bigger family and usually they will be accepted. when they are not accepted its because the parents would not be able to support their children!
X. Environment/Climate: If you could control the climate so that it is ideal what would you do? How would you prepare for extreme weather: Monsoons, Hurricane, and Cyclones?
there will be a hot season, cold season, and a just perfect season. there is an under ground mini world that is built under every city!. This way each person will have protection from almost any thing. there will not be that many disasters because Door is trying to cut down pollution and have a cleaner world.
