Welcome to Ms. Jones' Visual Arts Website
Angevine's Visual Arts classes are very active this semester. The eighth grade "Pottery and Sculpture" class has been busy creating a variety of projects out of clay. Techniques we have experimented with include pinch, coil and slab construction, as well as throwing on the wheel.
The 6th grade Exploratory Wheel classes follow a curriculum which explores a wide variety of art mediums and techniques. Projects include designing books based on their names, drawing pencil portraits, painting abstracts with tempera paint, drawing animals with soft pastels, using clay and creating cartoons.
Along with Angevine's Visual Arts classes, there are extra-curricular opportunities for students to create art. The Yearbook Staff gives students the chance to take photographs and design the yearbook, and the Art Club offers students a place to have fun making art. The Yearbook Staff meetings are Tuesday mornings from 8-8:30 and Art Club meets after school from 4-5 on Wednesdays in the art room.
