School Closures & Emergencies
School Closures—If there is a risk of a school closure, please tune in to your local radio or television station. The official television stations, channels 4, 7 and 9, along with local radio stations, will carry announcements of school closings as soon as they are available. The decision to close schools is usually made prior to 6:30 a.m. If there is no media announcement, it is safe to assume that school is in session.

If you have access to the Web, you may acquire school closure information by visiting the Boulder Valley School District Web site at
www.bvsd.org and clicking on the cancellations button.

Emergencies—If you have an emergency and need to contact your child immediately, please call the school at 303-665-5540. We will make every attempt to deliver the message to your child as soon as possible.

If an emergency occurs at school or on a school field trip, Angevine has policies in place to handle the situation. You can rest assured that we will not leave an injured student alone, and that we will contact crisis personnel who will quickly determine whether or not there is a need to call emergency services via 911. Subsequently, crisis personnel will contact the injured student's parent or guardian.

For more detailed information about our emergency procedures, please contact
ana.mendoza@bvsd.org or another school administrator.
