Medications at School
If a student needs to take medication of any kind, including nonprescription products such as aspirin, the student's parent or guardian must comply with the Angevine school board policy for medications in school by:
- Providing a signed copy of a "Parent's Request for Giving Medicine at School and Release Agreement," which you may acquire from a physician or the school office.
- Providing a doctor's written order for the medication to be provided.
- Providing a properly labeled container to house the medication.
- Understanding that all medication must be kept in the health clinic, and that medications are only to be administered by the school nurse or a school administrator.
- Understanding that students may not store medications in their lockers or carry them on their person. Exceptions are made if students have a doctor's prescription to possess an asthma inhaler.
