Pre-Engineering Program
The Angevine Middle School Pre-Engineering program prepares middle school students for the changing demands and career opportunities of the 21st century. This program combines design-build learning with modern tools of technology, an awareness of careers, and an exposure to the workforce skills required to give students a competitive advantage in their educational and career pursuits. Class projects are designed to simultaneously engender students with self-reliance and collaborative workplace skills.
AMS Pre-engineering prepares middle school students for the rigor of pre-engineering classes at the high school level and beyond. Collaboration with Centaurus High School as well as the University of Colorado helps to provide students the educational continuity necessary for lifelong learning in the design process and engineering. Applied math and science are emphasized as an integral part of the engineering process, and are regularly incorporated into everyday instruction. The AMS Pre-engineering program integrates hands-on learning with theoretical application in order to effectively promote the technical and academic aspects of engineering.
