Consumer and Family Studies

In the Consumer and Family Studies program, students immerse themselves in the practical arts that enable them to flourish as responsible citizens. The program provides students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that they will need to make rational decisions about health and nutrition, relationships and consumer matters. Working individually and in cooperative learning groups, students learn the basic skills, experiment and solve problems related to many different situations. As a result, students develop the self-confidence, motor skills and organizational skills that they need to tackle common life challenges.

The Angevine Consumer & Family Studies program provides a wide variety of classes in which students can experiment with building relationships, careers, crafts, cultural diversity, foods and sewing.  These classes include: 6th Grade: C&FS Exploratory Wheel, Foods, Facts and Fun, Home Alone, Foreign Foods and Fabrics, and Cash (Career Awareness Starts Here).
