Question:  What is SAC?

Answer:  SAC is an on-site before and after school program for students age 5-12.  The program is fully licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services.  SAC provides students with a low staff to child ratio, homework assistance, nutritional snacks and a safe and welcoming environment.  We are committed to providing families with the peace of mind of knowing that their children are well cared for.

Question:  What are the hours of operation?

Answer:
SAC runs from 7:00 AM to the start of school at Eldorado K8, Monarch K8, Aspen Creek K8 and Birch.  All SAC scools run from the end of school until 6:00 PM on site.

Question:  What forms do I need in order to register my child?

Answer:  Application Form, Emergency Contact Form, Policy Agreement Form, and Payment Options Form (depending on your choice – you may need to fill out the Authorization Billing form too).

Question:  I only need 2 days a week on a regular schedule but once a month I will need to work an extra day attend to meetings. Is it possible to add a day to cover the meetings?

Answer:  Yes, that would be classified as Drop-In Care and you would need to email (or submit a note in writing) the office 24 hours prior to the day you would need. We will enroll your child pending availability.

Question:  Will you send me a confirmation that I am in the program?

Answer:  We will email you a confirmation (please print your email address clearly)

Question:  If my child/ren starts in the middle of the month is the tuition pro rated?

Answer:  Yes, the tuition is pro rated to reflect payment for only the days your child/ren attend the first month. After that the monthly fee is the same.

Question:  If I enroll my child/ren in SAC the monthly tuition due date falls on the same day as my house payment/rent, is it possible to make 2 payments a month without getting charged a late fee?

Answer:  Yes, your payment may be split, make sure one payment is in the office prior to the 5th of the month. The second should be in the office prior to the 25th before monthly invoices are mailed out.

Question:  Why is my tuition the same in December or March as it is the other months even though my child/ren attend only 2 or 3 weeks?

Answer:  Payments are billed monthly and prorated for only 9 months (Sept – May). You will not be billed for August or June.

Question:  I contribute to a child care reimbursement plan at work and will need receipts is this possible if I sign up to have my payments done electronically?

Answer:  Yes, there are 3 ways to get a payment receipt to you for reimbursement. 1. Our office can send an email monthly. 2. Our office can send a fax monthly. 3. You can send nine self-addressed stamped envelopes and a receipt will be mailed monthly. Twice a year you will receive an End of Year Statement from our office: One in January for income tax purposes and the second in late June after the school year has ended.

Question:  Because of a divorce my child/rens monthly tuition payments will need to be divided between me and my ex, is that a possibility.

Answer:  Yes, we can split the monthly tuition between both parents. Each parent will need to fill out a School Age Care Fee Payment Options and the Authorization billing form. By doing this each parent will have their own account and a record of child care payments for taxes or reimbursements.

Question:  Our family can’t afford to pay full tuition; do you offer a sliding fee schedule?

Answer:  Partial scholarships are offered; we require that anyone applying for financial assistance first apply to Colorado Child Care Assistance Program through Aspen Family Services to see if they qualify for state assistance. If CCCAP denies the application a SAC Financial Assistance form is then filled out and the Program Manager will determine the financial assistance award according to financial records submitted.

Question:  How should I inform you of a schedule change or Drop-In Care?

Answer:  We need all changes and Drop-in Care in writing at least 24 hours prior to requested date. You may email or fax or mail it in.

Question:  Should I call the SAC office or the site if my child will be absent?

Answer:  It is VERY IMPORTANT to call when you child will be absent.  Please call the site & leave a message on voicemail (all numbers on Contact Information Page).
