I have three kids in BVSD, Jasper (6th) at Platt Choice, Sabrina (4th) at BCSIS and Kyle (8th) is at Southern Hills. I work for BVSD as the parent liaison for special education and the Parent Proffesional Partnership. That means I offer support, information, and resources to any BVSD family as well as facilitate workshops, run kid’s book clubs, and manage the BVSD Parents as Mentors program. I recently completed two on-line modules for teachers with Associate Professor Tracy Mueller at the University of Northern Colorado that are framed within parents and professionals colloborating. I am also a professional author and editor and have published over 300 book reviews, articles, and essays along with a book, Mother Blessings: Honoring Women Becoming Mothers. I have taught writing for several years to adults and kids and am a voracious reader!
