Paraeducators fill a number of valuable roles in the Boulder Valley School District. In recognition of this, we are working to make this page a valuable "first-stop" resource for all your paraeducator questions and information needs.

BVSD Pareaeducators Officers:

Meeting dates are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m., with no meeting in December.  Starting with the November 8 meeting, all meetings will be held in the cafeteria on the Arapahoe Ridge Campus.

Title 1 Paraeducator Info

All paraeducators and tutors working in Title I schools need to meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. For more info, investigate the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) link below.

Special Education Paraeducator Info

Paraeducators in the Boulder Valley School District receive two full days of training for the critical work they do in the district. Special Education Paraeducators are required to attend these mandatory professional development opportunities.

 Paraeducator Certification Program

A new certification program is being offered through Front Range Community College and the Boulder Valley School District

  • Associate of General Studies
  • K-12 Paraeducator Certificate
  • Become highly qualified
  • Earn college credits
  • Paid Practicum (in your current position)
  • Evening classes
