Parents seeking academically challenging camps for their kids need look no further than Louisville and Boulder this summer. BVSD’s Lifelong Learning has launched a new track of camps for advanced students called College4Kids.
“There are many students in the Boulder Valley School District who are highly motivated and who seek challenging, high-level activities, even in the summer months,” said Shere Holleman, Lifelong Learning Program manager.
These academically challenging classes will be taught by experienced BVSD teachers and other experts from the community. Camps for kids ages 5-14 will be held in June at Monarch K-8 in Louisville and in July at University Hill in Boulder.
BVSD’s Lifelong Learning program has a reputation in the community for offering fun, high-quality classes and camps in science, literacy, math, cooking, visual arts, and more.
“Lifelong Learning is popular in the community because of the diverse, affordable offerings we make available to both kids and adults,” said Holleman. “College4Kids is a valuable addition to our regular summer camp program, giving those advanced, and talented and gifted kids more fun and challenging options when school’s out.”
College4Kids classes include: Kaleidoscope: Geometry & Art, Visual Algebra & Kinesthetic Mathematics, Exploring Color, The Amazing Math Race, Just Equations, Drawing Horses, Chess Camp, and People Who Changed the World.
