BOULDER: Chef Bradford Heap (from the famed Salt Bistro on Pearl Street and Colterra in Niwot) will attend lunch in the cafeteria at Southern Hills on Wednesday (April 6) to prepare a school meal right in front of students.

11:20 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Southern Hills Middle School, 1500 Knox Drive, Boulder

The Garlic Chicken Pasta and Cheesy Garlic Pasta will be handed out as a free sample to students on Wednesday. This pasta selection is being served on Friday, April 8. During his visit on Wednesday, Chef Bradford will allow students to see just how one of their school meals is made.

The School Food Project crew arranged this event to help demonstrate to students that most of BVSD’s meals are cooked from scratch.

The School Food Project (SFP) is a fundraising partnership comprised of district employees, community members, and corporate sponsors.  Their vision is that all children of Boulder Valley School District will have daily access to fresh, flavorful and nutritious food made with wholesome and,  when possible, local ingredients, so that every child may thrive.
