LAFAYETTE--Help Centaurus High School celebrate its 35th anniversary through its new brick paver fundraiser. The school and its dedicated PTO recently established the brick fundraiser to honor its students and community members of past and present. Anyone can purchase a personalized engraved brick paver that will be embedded in the walkway in front of the school. The cost of pavers starts at $100 and includes price points for corporate gift givers.
“The bricks will serve as a permanent reminder of the people in the community who have been a part of Centaurus over the years, said Susan Drexel, a Centaurus parent.
“The funds from the project will be used to support and strengthen the academic, athletic, and other activities at Centaurus High School,” said Rhonda Haniford, the school’s principal.
The school recently began its promotion efforts to bring awareness to this fundraising campaign and it hopes of installing the walkway in the 2008-09 school year. Although the school cannot say for how long this program will be running, they do plan to keep it going for several years until the walkway is complete.
“The PTO parents have been wonderful during this process,” said Haniford.
