We are no longer accepting substitute teacher applications for the 2009-10 school year.  Please check back in June 2010 to apply for the 2010-11 school year.

To substitute teach within BVSD you must be on file as a substitute teacher. Please fill out an online application and be sure to apply to the Substitute Teacher opening.  Please remember that it can take up to three weeks for our Substitute Office to review your online application and required doucments.   

All substitute teachers in the Boulder Valley School District must hold a current Colorado teaching license or a Colorado Substitute Authorization of three or five years, issued by the Colorado Department of Education, and a bachelor's degree. The rate of pay for the current school year is $94.50 per day, and $55.00 per half day.

If you wish to apply for a regular contracted teaching position, and in the interim also wish to be considered for substitute teaching, you can apply for both a regular licensed position and a substitute position at the same time.
