The Boulder Valley School District plans to apply for the following federal grants through the Colorado Department of Education for FY 2008-2009 funding:

NCLB Title III-A and III-A Immigrant Set-Aside
NCLB Title IV-A
NCLB Title V-A
In accordance with federal law, BVSD receives and shares information regarding district and community needs, and proposed use of federal funds with various committees, task forces and advisory groups which include in their membership parents, staff, and community members, and that exist on an ongoing basis to support district planning. These may include the Board of Education, District Accountability Committee, Parent Council, Parent Engagement Network, the Teacher Advisory Comittee, and others. Parents, staff and members of the public who are not affiliated with these groups are invited to consult with the district regarding the allocation of any funds received through these federal grant applications, and the planning and implementation of programs supported by these funds, and may do so in two ways:
- Attend a consultation meeting with district staff that will take place on Friday, May 30, 4 PM, in Conference Room 1 of the Education Center, located at 6500 Arapahoe Road, Boulder, CO, 80303.
- Render advice individually using the feedback form linked below. If you choose to participate in this manner, you must submit your comments no later than 6 PM, Friday, May 31st for consideration in the district’s planning process for NCLB Consolidated grants in FY 08-09. Comments intended for general consideration may be submitted at any time.

BVSD may, from time to time, apply for other federal grants which require prior notice to the public. In such cases, the official notice will be posted here no later than 15 days prior to the submission of an application. At this time, no such applications are pending.
