AIYLI’s Third Annual Conference will be held on April 28, 2006 at SEAGATE in Longmont, CO. This year’s theme is:
Changing Directions-Claiming Our Future
The purpose is to look at current issues and events impacting American Indian communities (health, economics, education, drug abuse, etc) and Inspire youth to collectively discuss new ideas and ways to help them take charge of their own lives and make positive contributions to their communities. The goal is not to dwell on what is wrong but what can be potentially positive.
The mission of the AIYLI is to unite, instill pride and to support communication between American Indian students and the community who share similar heritage, culture, history and experience. If you have any questions, please call Georgia Madrid, AIYLI Publicity/Registration Chair at (303)497-6732 or LuAnna Sago, Chair at 303-4978718.
