Valued Community of Boulder Valley School District

BoulderIn addition to our primary mission of providing an excellent and equitable education to more than 28,000 students, Boulder Valley School District strives to be a good employer and neighbor. We believe public schools are an important part of a community, not only for the children who attend them, but also for all of the people who live and work in that community. Ways in which we serve the greater community include making school facilities available for community activities and offering learning opportunities to people of all ages.

Many of these services to the Boulder Valley community are coordinated through BVSD's Community Schools, a self-supporting organization that uses tuition- and facility-use fees to cover its operational expenses. Community Schools operates four programs: Lifelong Learning, Kindergarten Care (K-CARE), BVSD Facility Use, and the School Age Care Program. For more information about Community School programs, visit those pages via the links on the left.

BVSD values its community collaborations very highly. Explore this area of our site to learn more about such partners as Impact on Education and Workforce of Boulder. If you know of a partnership that should be included here, or if you are interested in partnering with BVSD, please let us know.
