New employees or newly eligible employees have the opportunity to enroll in medical and dental insurance and flexible spending plans. *Eligible employees are those who work 20+ hours per week, or those who are contracted at 50% or greater for a minimum of 90 days, in a regular position. PERA retirees are not eligible.

BVSD offers voluntary 401K (through PERA), 457, and 403B tax-deferred savings plans.
For information on rates, see the 'Monthly Health & Dental Rates' sheet. Enrollment forms must be submitted to Human Resources within 30 days of starting work or becoming eligible. Insurance coverage begins the 1st of the month following the first day of work.
