GARDEN TO TABLE "WAKE UP THE GARDENS" HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED!
Ah, what would Spring in Colorado be without a few inconvenient snow showers? Due to our impending snowy, cold weather, the Garden to Table "Wake Up the Gardens" volunteer date has been rescheduled for FRIDAY, APRIL 2 from 2:40-5:00pm.NEW!! Eco-Cycle's Green Star Schools Program
We are pleased to announce that Lafayette Elementary School has been selected to participate in Eco-Cycle’s Green Star Schools program. This is an exciting and aggressive program aimed at significantly reducing the amount of garbage a school makes. Boulder Valley School District, in partnership with Eco-Cycle, has the most comprehensive school recycling program in the nation. Now your school will be one of the first in the U.S. to reduce waste even further. Over 25% of the waste stream is compostable. This project will add the collection of compostable materials to your school’s recycling program, while continuing to encourage recycling and reusing whenever possible.

Sonic Night-The First Wednesday of Every Month!
On "Lafayette Elementary Nights" our local Sonic is generously donating 10% of proceeds from ALL purchases (not just by Lafayette Elementary families) made between 5pm-8pm. Upcoming dates are April 7th and May 5th. So treat your family to some great drive-up service--and let your friends know as well! THANKS FOR ALL WHO ATTENDED ON MARCH 3RD!
