Boulder Valley Schools will be closed the week of Nov. 23, with classes resuming Monday, Nov. 30. The Education Center will be open for its regular schedule Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 23-25. The Ed Center will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27, reopening Monday morning, Nov. 30.

According to media sources, the Boulder Valley Educators Association announced that it had voted to reject the tentative agreement. Therefore, the district and the association will continue to operate under the terms of the 2008-09 agreement. The district renews its call for advisory third-party fact finding as provided for in the agreement.

Open Enrollment application period begins Nov. 30, 2009

As an “educational choice” state, Colorado allows for students to "open enroll" into a school for which they do not live in the neighborhood of attendance. Applications for BVSD's Open Enrollment placements for the 2010-2011 school year will be accepted from 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2009, to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010.
